Payroll & Benefits Admin

Rightstone is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Admin to join our team in St. Charles, Illinois 60174. This pays $25 / hr. on W2, with a 3-months contract duration, and a potential to be permanent. This role will administer payroll for a large corporation with multiple federal identification numbers with multi-jurisdictional states and localities and benefits for multiple fully insured and union plan offerings. These responsibilities include executing and validating weekly and bi-weekly gross to net pay calculations, ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of pay and deductions, in addition to administering the benefit programs to include enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment.  -APPLY NOW!

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM CST / EST (40 hours per week, no OT)

Work Arrangement : Remote or On-Site (must reside in EST or CST time zones)

Key Responsibilities

• Process, review, audit, and balance weekly and bi-weekly payroll across multi-jurisdictional states and locals.
• Ensure payroll accuracy for time, earnings, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and taxes.
• Partner with HR and management to maintain ACA compliance and prepare annual reporting.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings (federal, state, local).
• Reconcile payroll with accounting and ensure accurate General Ledger reporting.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Administer benefit programs including enrollment, claims, changes, and invoicing.
• Collaborate with brokers and HR on plan renewals, cost analysis, and recommendations.
• Coordinate and support annual Open Enrollment processes.
• Counsel employees and HR on benefit programs and assist with carrier / broker issue resolution.
• Review employee change requests and maintain HRIS data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal benefit laws; recommend updates as needed.
• Support audits, wage garnishments, tax credits, and external payroll / benefit requests.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all payroll and HR-related matters.
