Litigation Attorney
A highly regarded, mid-sized law firm with a strong litigation backbone is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. Practice Focus
The associate will work on a wide range of litigation matters, which may include:
- Complex commercial and business disputes
- Employment-related litigation and counseling matters
- White-collar and regulatory-related disputes
- Insurance coverage and general civil litigation
- Estate, trust, and fiduciary litigation matters
Cases are handled from inception through resolution, and associates are given meaningful responsibility and client exposure early.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
- Manage discovery, including written discovery and depositions
- Conduct legal research and draft substantive briefs and memoranda
- Participate in court appearances, mediations, and trials
- Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case strategy
Qualifications
- 3 to 7+ years of solid litigation experience, buisness litigation preferred
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience managing cases with a high degree of autonomy
- Admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Background in commercial or complex litigation preferred
