The Inside Sales Engineer is a key, results-driven position responsible for driving sales and proactively developing a target territory comprised of R&D labs, universities, and research institutions, reporting to the Inside Sales and Distribution Manager. This role requires an outstanding communicator who is highly organized and customer-focused, managing the full inside sales cycleincluding lead follow-up, customer management, lead generation campaigns, and cold callingwhile collaborating with the field sales team to ensure success on large projects.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Stimulates demand and secures sales for equipment & accessories with existing and new customers in assigned territory through outbound contact effort
  • Drives sales by reaching out to both active and new accounts
  • Handles incoming leads through phone, email, and web
  • Identifies and builds relationships with key decision-makers through friendly, engaging communication
  • Meets or exceeds sales targets by maintaining and expanding business with current accounts
  • Uses our CRM (Dynamics 365) to track customer interactions and sales pipeline and progress
  • Collaborates with the field sales team on large business opportunities
  • Participates in training, marketing campaigns, and special projects to enhance business
  • Organizes own work routine with guidance as provided by sales leadership
  • Attends sales meetings to discuss targets, forecasts, and market conditions

Qualifications :

  • 3 years of sales experience with strong performance results
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or sales required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and presentation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritization and focus
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Formal training in sales techniques is preferred
  • Ability to travel at least 5% of the time

  • Compensation Information :

    The base salary for this position is $65,000 - 78,000. + commissions. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
