Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Consulting Staff Accountant, your daily duties will include :

1. Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including data entry and processing invoices.

2. Maintaining and updating fixed assets register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.

3. Preparing financial reports for internal use by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

5. Providing financial information for the management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

7. Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.

8. Collaborating with other departments to align financial management with operational goals.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications :

1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

2. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the construction industry.

3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining general ledgers.

4. Experience with data entry, AP, AR, and fixed assets.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.

6. Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.

7. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.

8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.

9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
