About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : Minimum 1 Year

License : Current state license or compact license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

  • Previous charge experience preferred.
  • Experience with patient ratios of 2.5 preferred.
  • Charting system experience preferred.

Description :

Position available in the MedSurg ICU.

The unit typically has a patient ratio of 1 : 2.

Adjustments to this ratio may occur based on patient acuity.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Weekend shifts are required.

Floating between like units is necessary.

Local candidates are not eligible.

Pending licenses are not accepted.

All requests for time off must be included with the submission.

The facility is a short-term acute care facility with 116 staffed beds.

The charting system used is EPIC.

Daily census information is not specified.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary.

Additional unit information regarding patient diagnoses and special procedures is not provided.

Candidates should be prepared for various clinical skills including managing vascular access devices, administering blood products, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory before starting the position.
