Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic setting, requiring BLS certification and graduation from an accredited PT program.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an outpatient orthopedic therapy department
  • Day shifts from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday
  • Assignment is 13 weeks in length with 40 hours per week
  • No block scheduling is permitted
  • Responsibilities include administering diagnostic tests, establishing patient goals, and providing rehabilitative services
  • Expected to teach and supervise graduate students or clinical fellows when appropriate
  • Involvement in community outreach, health screenings, and presentations at local or state events
  • Participation in departmental meetings, in-services, and continuous quality improvement initiatives is required
  • Reporting to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of offer is expected
  • Document due date for all requirements is firm and start dates can be pushed if not met

    • Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification required
  • Outpatient orthopedic therapy experience required
