WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll join Bain’s global Legal team, a collaborative group of experienced lawyers supporting a world-class consulting firm operating across 65 cities in 40 countries. Bain is a deeply client-focused organization, and our Legal team mirrors that commitment by providing outstanding service to our internal clients.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM As Associate Counsel, you will primarily support Bain’s Legal Group by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal contracts, while also advising consulting staff and contributing to team-wide projects.
What you’ll do
Contract Support
- Review, draft, and negotiate legal contracts, including :
- confidentiality agreements
- vendor and independent contractor agreements
- service provider agreements
- other business agreements
- Communicate legal issues and recommendations clearly to internal clients and senior lawyers
- Coordinate reviews and comments with stakeholders
- Review and prepare RFP responses
- Manage and interact with contract management systems and automated review tools
- Balance multiple contracts and priorities efficiently
General Legal Support
Advise consulting staff on Bain’s professional standards policiesDeliver internal training where appropriateSupport legal team colleagues on special projectsContribute to Bain Legal intellectual property by developing new forms, process guidance documents, and training materialsAbout you
JD with 2+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of business contracts in a law firm or in-house roleStrong legal drafting and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExperience supporting global clients a plusSpanish or Portuguese language skills will be helpfulU.S. compensation information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package.

In Georgia state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $126,000 - $150,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure / certifications, training, and skill level.In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure / certifications, training, and skill level.In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $132,500 - $158,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure / certifications, training, and skill level.In District of Columbia, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure / certifications, training, and skill level.Additional compensation may include :
