The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, HVAC servicing, and electrical.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate personnel lifts.

Operate forklifts

Perform minor repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards

F abricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas

Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production

Use hand and power tools and assist in moving equipment

Plumbing, construction of metal / wood, and

Painting

Minor facility repairs

General rigging

Instruct lawn service contractor

PM of forklifts per schedule

AC system filter change per schedule

Assist HVAC technicians with repairs

Facility preventative maintenance

Adhere to all safety requirements

Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and OMS

Basic math skills

Certified fork lift operator

Welding

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

40 semester hours of industrial trade training or 3 years general maintenance experience
