Preston Police Department Career Opportunity

The Preston Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police

Officer. Starting Salary is $52,000 ($25.00 / hr). The compensation package includes paid

medical, dental, and vision insurance, PERSI retirement, and other benefits offered by the city.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a US citizen, have a high school diploma or equivalent,

and have a valid driver's license. Applicants will be required to pass a written test successfully, a

physical test as required by Idaho POST, a background investigation, a computer voice stress

exam (or polygraph), a drug screen, and an oral interview. POST certification is preferred, but

not required. Non-certified hires must become Idaho POST certified within one year of

employment.

Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 : 00 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. Applications can be requested
