I'm a civil construction recruiter working with a company to fill their need for a Bridge Safety Specialist to support large-scale bridge and infrastructure projects across the Midwest . This is a traveling field-based role with a clear path to long-term career growth and reduced travel as you advance into leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bridge Safety Specialist, you will be the frontline protector of crews working in high-risk bridge environments.

You will be responsible for :

• Overseeing fall protection systems (tie-offs, lifelines, SRLs, anchor points)
• Managing work-over-water safety including rescue boats, flotation, and retrieval plans
• Coordinating traffic exposure safety when crews are working over or near live roadways
• Conducting daily safety audits, JSAs, and toolbox talks
• Enforcing OSHA and company safety standards
• Developing and executing emergency rescue plans for falls, water incidents, and man-down situations
• Working closely with superintendents and project leadership to ensure safe, productive job sites

This is not a desk role - you will be on the bridge, in the field, and directly supporting the crews.
