As a Security Professional - Unarmed Education Patrol in Springfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Pay Rate : $23.73 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeMon12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AMWed12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AMFri12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AMSun12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals on site, including providing directions or information as needed.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
