Procurement Specialist

LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans Division of Purchasing is seeking motivated individuals for the title of Procurement Analyst 1, 2, or 3. This position is included in a Career Progression Group. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Procurement Analyst 1, 2, or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Rate of pay starts at $16.86 for a PA 1, $18.04 for a PA 2, and $20.65 for a PA 3, rates may be adjusted dependent upon applicants' qualifications.

This is a Civil Service Position. Civil Service Office Support Exam 8500 is no longer required. Pre-employment Drug testing, and a Criminal Background check are required. This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.

Minimum Qualifications :

Three years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION : Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
