About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year PCU experience

License : Active and in good standing state license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract.

If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be re-evaluated for eligibility after 6 months.

Candidates may not be employed with any associated facility within the past year.

Description :

Fast-paced cardiac and cardiac surgery care environment.

Patients may have cardiovascular issues, surgical needs, and require monitoring and interventions.

Utilization of advanced monitoring equipment.

Requires EKG knowledge and skills including IV cardiac medication administration.

Ability to manage peritoneal dialysis, chronic vents, chest tubes, epidural catheters, PCA pumps, and transvenous pacing.

Experience with arterial or venous sheath pulling and care is essential.

The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 3-4 patients depending on acuity.

The dress code consists of navy scrubs and business appropriate hair color.

Training will focus on the management of patients post-cardiac interventions, including those from surgery and catheterization lab procedures.

Other conditions managed may include renal disease, alcohol withdrawal, and respiratory support.
