Location : Charlotte, NC

Description : We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer / BI Specialist with a strong background in MS SQL Server database design, complex query development, and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in database engineering and reporting solutions, with exposure to financial servicesparticularly advisory products.

Database design and optimization : Architect, design, and maintain MS SQL Server databases ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Stored procedures and queries : Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL and PL / SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Reporting solutions : Design and deliver reports using MS Reporting Services and Power BI to support business decision-making.
ETL processes : Build and manage ETL workflows using MS SSIS for data integration across multiple systems.
Job scheduling and automation : Implement and manage enterprise scheduling solutions using Broadcom AutoSys.
File transfer management : Configure and support IBM Connect : Direct (NDM) for secure and reliable data transfers.
Financial services domain expertise : Apply knowledge of advisory products to design solutions aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross?functional teams including business analysts, application developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure adherence to best practices in database security, backup, and disaster recovery planning.

Required Skills & Experience

MS SQL Server database design : 7 years

T-SQL / PL-SQL stored procedures : 7 years

MS Reporting Services : 5 years

MS Power BI : 3 years

MS SSIS : 3 years

Broadcom AutoSys : 3 years

IBM Connect : Direct (NDM) : 3 years

Strong knowledge of financial services domain, especially advisory products.

Excellent problem?solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.

Familiarity with cloud?based data platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).

Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical standards.
