About The Position

📝 Description :

• We are seeking two experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join its Oncology team in Coos Bay, OR. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a unique opportunity to provide outpatient cancer care in a highly supportive environment.

📋 Job Responsibilities :

Deliver oncology care in a primarily outpatient setting

Participate in paid, shared call rotation

Occasionally conduct inpatient consults

Collaborate closely with oncologists, nursing staff, and care teams

Participate in cancer support services and treatment planning

Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC

Engage in OHSU-affiliated cancer care initiatives and clinical trials

⏰ Working Hours :

Shift Type : Days

Schedule : Four 10-hour shifts per week

No nights or weekends

On-Call : Paid and shared equally

💡 Skills :

Excellent written and verbal communication

Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Clinical decision-making and critical thinking

Proficiency in EMR (EPIC preferred)

Organizational, multitasking, and time management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Physical ability to meet patient care demands

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting

Job Requirements

🎓 Qualifications :

Required :

Board Certified NP or PA

AONCP certification (or in progress) for NP

Oregon medical license (or willing to obtain)

NPDB self-query report

Clean malpractice history

Preferred :

Oncology subspecialty or additional oncology training (especially for PAs)

Prior oncology experience in inpatient or outpatient settings
