What you'll be doing day to day

As a Local Retail Marketing Manager, driving omnichannel growth and brand positioning in a market, you will:

Collaborate across the market and with the Service (Corporate) Office on the annual market analysis, local marketing plan, and communication plan for market growth and goals.
Lead, plan and activate annual marketing and communication plan in partnership with Local Marketing Specialists to drive brand sentiment, consideration, awareness, sales, and visitation for the market.
Coordinate efforts with all market stores to ensure continuity between touchpoints with a seamless customer and brand experience.
Establish and cultivates connections across the market, fostering relationships with stores, public officials, community partners, the local business community, media members, and influencers, collaborating with the Service Office, Marketing and Communications teams.
Collaborate with Market Managers to ensure plan consistency by store, maintaining regular communication on strategy, tactics, and results with a focus on improving KPIs.
Manage the creation and implementation of customer clubs in market stores to foster lasting relationships, aligning with the Customer Engagement & Loyalty approach.
Partner with public relations team and agency partners to secure local media coverage and show IKEA as the leader in life at home in the market and act as a spokesperson.
Together with Area Marketing team, develops a local marketing and advertising strategy including social media as well as paid, owned and earned media.
Develops and implements a strategy for community engagement, fosters relationships with public affairs, and oversees local strategies and initiatives contributing to national KPIs, collaborating with the SO and community partners for data collection and reporting.
Collaborate with the unit Local Marketing Specialist on budget management for activities and events.
Contributes to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

PAY The starting rates/salary for this position range from $88,-$, and will be based on relevant work experience

QUALIFICATIONS.

Bachelors Degree strongly preferred.

Minimum 10 years of related experience including 5 years of managerial experience.
Knowledge of how to foster teamwork and continuity with individual market stores to achieve goals.
Knowledge of home furnishings preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of marketing performance, KPIs, and measurement.


Requirements

Travel is required for this role. 25%-50% (2 day per week on average)
