Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position, requiring two years of experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hybrid Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
  • Nurses may be floated to medical-surgical units with a 1 : 7 patient ratio when needed
  • Patient population requiring telemetry and progressive care services
  • Day shift schedule : 3x12 hours, 6 : 30 to 19 : 00, with rotating weekends
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Nurses are expected to support nursing student clinical education alongside clinical care responsibilities
  • General orientation begins Sundays and includes 16 hours of nonbillable training
  • Electronic modules to be completed during orientation, averaging 4-5 hours
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No local candidates will be accepted within a 100-mile radius

  • Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
  • American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
  • Must be able to complete required lab testing 12-14 days prior to start
  • Facial hair must comply with CDC fit testing guidelines for respirator use
