Non Invasive Cardiologist- Full or Part Time

Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine (WCVM) located in the beautiful Northern Shenandoah Valley, is now seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their team of 21 board certified / eligible Cardiologists and 15 cardiology advanced practice clinicians in scenic Northern Virginia.

About the Position

• WCVM is seeking a Non- Invasive General Cardiologist to anchor a growing Heart and Vascular Program at Warren Memorial Hospital (WMH) in Front Royal, Virginia.
• WCVM is a private practice, leased by Valley Health. Valley Health is a network which includes six hospitals, with WMH being the newest and one of only two acute care facilities in the system. The other four hospitals are classified as Critical Access Hospitals.
• Warren Memorial Hospital is closely linked to the principal Valley Health Hospital, Winchester Medical Center (WMC). WMC is located approximately 25 miles north of Front Royal and provides support for the WMH program. WMH stands on its own as a fully accredited ACC Chest Pain Center.
• This is an ideal opportunity for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist looking for a position in a developing cardiology program. This position will complement the established cardiology service at WMH which includes in and outpatient management with in-house Nuclear, Echo and Vascular imaging and a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to integrate a full range of knowledge and skills in both inpatient and outpatient cardiology. The selected candidate will spend most of the time in the ambulatory clinic setting, however responsibilities will include interpretation of imaging studies, inpatient rounding and consultation. Performance of noninvasive procedures including cardioversions and trans-esophageal echocardiograms is expected.
• This position can be tailored to suit a desired lifestyle. Night and weekend call is optional. For candidates desiring a full-time position, night and weekend call would involve rotation into the larger practice call schedule. WCVM has a shared call model (currently 1 : 7 nights and weekends) at Winchester Medical Center. Night and weekend call is currently not provided at WMH.
• The medical office building is attached to the hospital and is currently staffed with a rotating outpatient General Cardiologist and rotating Interventional Cardiologists who cover in-house consultations and inpatient procedures, with the support of a full-time experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinician
