The role requires managing patient assignments with a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6 based on patient needs. The nurse will be responsible for interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Key duties include the use of rapid response / code teams, blood product administration, and central / peripheral line care. The nurse will manage cardiac drips without titration and administer oxygen via various methods. Adherence to isolation precautions and telemetry monitoring is essential. The unit will consist of a mix of medical / surgical and intermediate care patients. Interdisciplinary support will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy among others. Effective communication with the healthcare team is crucial for patient care. Previous travel experience is not required, but the nurse must demonstrate competency in a step-down care setting. Candidates must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position. Only individuals with the specified qualifications and experiences will be considered.
