• DECRIPTION Oakwood School is seeking a long-term substitute Mathematics teacher (grades 7-9) for the rest of the 2025-26 school year.
• This is a full-time position for the period from December 1 through June 15, with the possibility of continuation into the 2026-27 school year.
• The specific teaching assignment for the 25-26 school year will consist of two Accelerated Pre-Algebra classes (grade 7) and two Algebra 1 classes (grade 9).
• We are seeking candidates with years of experience teaching college-preparatory mathematics, using a variety of curricular resources.

We seek a candidate who can support the development of sound mathematical practices in an organized, student-centered, and encouraging classroom environment.   REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 3+ years of relevant teaching experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including a high degree of cultural competency Dedication to the whole-person development of young people, including an enthusiasm for positive identity development and diversity, equity, and inclusion work Experience with, and commitment to, anti-bias practices in the classroom Proficient calculator skills with the TI-84 Plus series Proficient computer skills with Google Drive and Microsoft Windows office products   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, prepares, and executes developmentally-supportive math lessons in accordance with Oakwood’s Math department learning outcomes; Collaborates with fellow Math teachers in designing and developing curriculum; Commitment to our DEIB values and goals as stated in our DEIB mission statement Maintains regular communication with student-support team members :
