  • Being just a call away for any concerns or questions
  • Offering free, online training that covers trauma-informed teaching, classroom management, and more
  • Designating a Scoot consultant to support your subbing journey - Most of our consultants used to be teachers so they can share teaching advice.

    • What you’ll do :

  • Work closely with students, either 1 : 1 or across entire classrooms
  • Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1 : 1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP's (individual education plans)
  • Follow direction from, and assist lead educators

    • You’ll need :

  • Valid RBT Certification
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities
  • At least 1 year experience working with children / adults with special needs; OR
  • At least 1 year year in a classroom / education setting
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
  • Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
  • Background Check (we’ll cover the cost of this on your first check!)
  • TB risk assessment within 90 days
  • You’ll stand out if you have any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
