Overview

Piper Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Test Engineer to help ensure the delivery of high-quality software across our platform. This hybrid role, based in Morrisville, NC , requires 3 days onsite per week and offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing and a passion for driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and executes manual test cases and plans
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability and edge-case issues
  • Develop and maintain automated web and API test scripts
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans and documentation
  • Refine user stories and contribute to backlog grooming
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration
  • Continuously grow domain and technology knowledge in SQA methodologies

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manual testing experience
  • 1+ years of experience with automated test scripting and execution
  • 3+ years working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with a wide range of testing methods : E2E, UAT, Functional, Regression, Smoke, etc.
  • Familiarity with test case and defect management systems
  • Ability to generate and execute test plans from technical documentation
  • Functional knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000 - $70,000 annually
