Restaurant Yuu, a Michelin-starred French restaurant located in Greenpoint, is seeking a dedicated and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team.
Situated directly across from McCarren Park, our restaurant offers refined French cuisine in a bright, serene setting filled with natural light and seasonal inspiration.
Restaurant Yuu is accepting resumes for a Pastry Chef.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing and executing high-quality desserts and pastry components for tasting menus
Developing seasonal dessert concepts that align with the restaurant’s culinary philosophy
Producing breads, pastries, and plated desserts with precision and consistency
Managing mise en place, ordering, and inventory control for the pastry section
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen
Collaborating closely with the head chef and kitchen team to deliver a cohesive dining experience
Upholding culinary excellence consistent with Michelin-starred standards
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Hourly Rate: $20–$35 (based on experience, plus tips where applicable)
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, excluding restaurant holidays and designated closure days
