Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Mental Health Discipline : RN Duration : Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Staff Primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing community support services and therapeutic services. The BHC uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person-centered, supportive, community-based environment. The LPC is monitored by periodic supervision. Assesses behavioral heal patients in Hospital emergency rooms and medical floors. Coordinates the transfer of patients between hospitals as well as from medical facilities outside of the system. Utilizes clinical skills to make decisions regarding placement of psychiatric or chemically dependent patients within the facility based on patient needs and physician requests, in collaboration with House Offices, nursing units, and hospital staff.
