Responsibilities :

Patient & Family Education : Applies adult (and / or pediatric) learning principles to teach patients, families, students, and new staff. Guides patients through care episodes and transitions with clear, individualized teaching.
Supports Professional Development : Serves as a preceptor and mentor, fosters an environment of open dialogue, seeks feedback, and encourages continuous learning for colleagues and students.
Delivers Holistic Patient Care : Uses the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care to develop individualized care plans, addressing clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Communicates Effectively : Clearly articulates patient conditions to care teams, negotiates care plans, and ensures comprehensive documentation that supports coordination and safety.
Enhances Quality & Safety : Integrates national, unit, and health system goals into practice to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction while creating a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
Patient-Centered Care & Clinical Competence : Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, applies critical thinking to assess and meet age-specific patient needs, and provides care in accordance with department policies. BSN preferred; 0–2 years of experience.
Collaboration & Communication : Establishes and maintains positive, professional relationships with patients, families, care teams, and leadership while navigating a complex, fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
Physical & Professional Requirements : Maintains mobility, visual / manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients
