Principal Software AI / ML Developer

A company is looking for a Remote Principal Software AI / ML Developer.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement scalable applications using large language models (LLMs) and develop effective retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines

Design, train, and optimize machine learning models, building end-to-end ML pipelines and monitoring model performance

Lead data acquisition and feature engineering efforts, ensuring clear schema definitions and implementing rigorous evaluation processes for AI systems

Required Qualifications

5+ years in software / AI development, with 3+ years focused on LLMs or related deep learning systems

Proficiency in Python (and / or Java), cloud-based data pipelines, and MLOps tools

Hands-on experience with models such as OpenAI or open-source LLMs, including prompt engineering and deployment strategies

Experience integrating AI into enterprise cloud ecosystems

Deep understanding of NLP, conversational systems, and responsible AI practices
