What You’ll Do
As a Strategic Account Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind our most important retail partnerships. You’ll act as a trusted business owner and account quarterback—owning the entire value chain and delivering growth.
- Own execution : Manage sourcing / product development, pricing, negotiations, client presentations, orders, QC, and on-time deliveries.
- Lead growth : Drive category strategy, white-space analysis, assortment expansion, forecasting, and full P&L accountability.
- Plan assortments : Partner with buyers to curate monthly plans aligned with consumer demand and selling data.
- Build relationships : Serve as a trusted advisor, negotiate win-win outcomes, and represent Folden Lane at trade shows and client events.
- Develop new business : Leverage data, relationships, and broker / distributor networks to secure new opportunities.
What You Bring
Proven success in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development with measurable growth results.Wholesale account management experience; housewares / home goods background strongly preferred.Must-have : Experience with off-price and wholesale club retailers.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.Digitally fluent, with comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT included) to work smarter and faster.Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented with high standards of professionalism.Qualifications & Background
Bachelor’s degree (3.3+ GPA).5+ years in sales / account management (home goods or adjacent industries).3+ years in merchandising or category management.5+ years in global import / sourcing, with exposure to partners across Asia.Familiarity with consumer behavior, QC / compliance, and seasonal / home categories.Willingness to travel (domestic + international) and flexibility to work outside standard hours.Compensation & Benefits
