Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to provide temporary support in managing patient communications and appointments. This role focuses on ensuring efficient scheduling and accurate patient information management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage inbound and outbound patient calls, averaging 100 calls per day.

Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.

Verify and update patient demographic and insurance details.

Document messages for healthcare providers in the system accurately.

Understand and interpret insurance contracts to determine network status for patients.

Transfer calls to appropriate departments as necessary.

Utilize Athena EMR for patient information management.

Educate patients on understanding their Explanation of Benefits (EOB).

Provide requested documentation and records to patients as needed.

Offer accurate patient estimates and insurance verification.

Strive for one-call resolution to inquiries and perform timely follow-ups on complex cases.

Respond to patient voicemails daily within 24 hours.
