Summary

As a Tool Maker, you play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, supporting a broad spectrum of projects from production to experimental engineering initiatives. Your responsibilities include the design, fabrication, assembly, and repair of a diverse range of parts, tools, gages, and fixtures. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you'll ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency, with a steadfast commitment to safety and precision.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be flexible to work across various shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) as required.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, fabricate, assemble, repair, alter, and build parts, assemblies, tools, fixtures, gages, molds, and dies.
• May assist in production with start-up procedures and troubleshooting, guided by engineering or management.
• Use all equipment, techniques, and tools as required by the assignment.
• Perform related tasks as necessary in the completion of the associates work assignment in the Tool Maker classification.
• Use new technology as applicable to the basic job assignment. May be required to verify that completed work conforms to requirement or specification.
• May cut new soft jaws and cut new steps in existing soft jaws.
• Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
• Check and top off lubricants as necessary.
• May perform other duties as required.
• Responsible for complying with applicable provisions of Article 18 of the Health, Safety, and Environment of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
