DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you would be responsible for the supervision of inmates and maintaining proper security while ensuring work is performed under safe operating procedures for boiler operations, and generation of medium pressure steam, for heat and hot water for institutional needs. Our team will rely on you to monitor inmate workers in the performance of assignments, maintain efficient operations utilizing manual and automatic control systems, and perform scheduled and non-routine maintenance and operational assessments. Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
• Work hours are 40 hours per week, schedule to bee determined.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925 (before taxes). However, a higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
