JOB TITLE : Simulator Software / Avionics Software Engineer

LOCATION : Tustin CA

PAY RATE : $93 / hour

Summary :

Develop and maintain internal tools supporting simulation and mission control activities

Actively participate in :

Code reviews

Requirements development

Internal audits

Other software lifecycle development activities

Monitor program performance post-implementation to prevent recurrence of issues and ensure operational efficiency

Participate in risk management meetings and activities

Requirements :

Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

6 years of experience in aerospace or similar software development programs

Experience developing software for safety-critical embedded systems

Experience developing C S-Functions in Simulink

Experience with IP networking including network packet generation and parsing

Experience developing embedded software using C and C

Experience supporting aerospace software development programs

Experience with IP networking including Ethernet packet generation and parsing

Experience with MATLAB and Simulink

Experience with real-time Pilot-in-the-Loop (PITL) / Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) simulation environments

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Experience :

Experience working with Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

Experience with XidML standards and INEA-formatted data

Experience working with flight simulators

Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation

Experience with the Atlassian software suite including :

JIRA

Bitbucket (Git)

Confluence

Crucible
