MacKay and Somps is seeking a Junior / Assistant Planner to join our collaborative Roseville team. Our planners come from backgrounds in urban planning, city and regional planning, and landscape architecture—and we welcome motivated recent graduates who are ready to learn, grow, and contribute.

Responsibilities :

As a Junior / Assistant Planner, you will work closely with senior planners, engineers, and project managers on a wide range of land development and entitlement projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. Responsibilities may include :

• Land use and zoning research
• CEQA research and assistance
• Preparing planning and entitlement exhibits
• Creating residential lotting and street layout concepts
• Supporting master planning and Specific Plan preparation
• Drafting tentative maps and site design concepts
• Coordinating with public agencies and project consultants

Education :

B.S. in City and Regional Planning, BLA in Landscape Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university.
