Job Expectations

Senior District Managers provide leadership, guidance and support to Area Manager direct report(s) and stores within the assigned district to drive success in our short- and long-term goals. The Senior District Manager is expected to meet and exceed set sales expectations by driving key business metrics through store team engagement, leadership development, accountability, guest service, merchandising and marketing to maximize sales and profitability. In addition, the Senior District Manager will ensure that company results are communicated from the Senior Director and corporate business partners to store teams.

Demonstrate leadership that reflects Jockey's core values and culture.

Provide guidance and development to Area Manager direct report(s).

Maximize store sales and profitability through the leadership and accountability of Store Managers within the assigned retail district.

Visit stores regularly to review store environments, key business metrics and to provide feedback regarding all aspects of store operations including staffing, selling skills, payroll planning, sales reporting, visual merchandising, stock management, expense management, human resources, safety and security, and operations policies.

Compile and provide feedback on performance and auditing requirements through store visit reporting tools.

Oversee and participate in the process of recruiting, networking and selecting store management candidates to ensure open positions are hired timely with qualified candidates.

Train and develop store teams and lead succession planning.

Provide consistent reviews of store teams for succession planning and development.

Drive, lead and execute brand message while communicating market trends in assigned district.

Partner with Store Managers and the National Retail Sales Director to share and implement best practices and execute corrective action.

Ensure that all Company prescribed standards are met and adhered to in all stores.

Work in collaboration with Store Managers, the National Retail Sales Director and corporate partners to develop clear and detailed execution plans that ensure consistency of key Company programs and initiatives.

Manage district level sales, payroll and operating expense budgets.

Provide product feedback to the National Retail Sales Director and corporate partners / analysts on specific launches, in stock levels, replenishment and assortment execution.

Lead the execution of programs that elevate the guest experience, drives revenue, and increases conversion.

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 3 years of multi-store management experience.

5+ years of retail experience.

Flexible schedule including overnight travel, evenings and weekends as the business dictates. Travel up to 80%.

Excellent leadership skills.

Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Proven expense, payroll and cost control experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

High School Diploma.

Must have valid driver's license, proof of vehicle and vehicle insurance.

Preferred : Advanced Degree in Business or related field.

Physical Demands / Working Environment

Ability to move a minimum of 25 pounds.

Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor, and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and ascending / descending.

Ability to work with / around cleaning chemicals.
