Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for night shifts at a hospital in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and proficiency with Epic.

Responsibilities Work in a hospital ICU setting with a 7-bed unit

Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

ICU patient ratio of 2 : 1 and Med-Surg ratio of 3 : 1

May float to Med-Surg unit as needed

May serve as House Supervisor providing staff support as needed

No on-call requirement; must be able to arrive within one hour if called back during low census

Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Uses Epic for charting

Orientation may include shadowing current supervisors to review daily responsibilities such as crash cart and temperature checks

Preferred candidates are resilient, adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal skills

Staff may be required to assist as House Supervisor with director or manager support available

Navy blue scrubs required

COVID-19 vaccination is currently not required but may be subject to change

Travelers must live at least 40 miles from the facility

First-time travelers are considered

Requirements Active Illinois RN license required

Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or critical care experience

Proficiency with Epic charting required

Strong ICU and critical care skillset
