REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years (in orthopedics)

Traveler Experience required : UNIT WILL NOT Accept first time travelers.

Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes

Skills :

• Strong Orthopedic experience required
• ! Outpatient total joint experience.

Certs : ACLS, BCLS, PALS.

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : NBSTSA. Robotics equipment. Experience with Ortho and Ortho / total joints. Sterilization and decontamination. Instrument / Tray Reprocessing. Preferred experience with Pediatrics.

JOB DETAILS :

2 rooms. 2-25 cases per day.

Shift : 8hr DAYS 6 : 30-15 : 00 Mon-Fri (flexible start / end times- will not always be an 8 hour day. You may come in later and leave later depending on case load).

Will accept 13 week contracts.

Call Requirement : NONE

Float Requirement : Must be willing to float to other nearby locations if needed. Floating Requirements are to float to any other Surgical services locations, not just Siloed to the ASCs. These locations include : Matthews Surgery Center (this is the core facility), Midtown Surgery Center, Ballantyne Surgery Center, Charlotte Outpatient Surgery Center, Center City Surgery Center, Huntersville Surgery Center, South Park Surgery Center, Julian Road Surgery Center, Presbyterian Medical Center, Huntersville Medical Center.

Weekend Requirement : NONE.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : Outpatient total joint program.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : All orthopedics. Surgery Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : Knowledge of orthopedic equipment.

SCHEDULING TYPE : Schedule is made at least 4 weeks in advance and traveler will know the general shift time they are working each day however EXACT start time is determined the day before based on cases scheduled so travelers should expect some flexibility required and start / end times will vary somewhat daily.

UNIT ORIENTATION : Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
