Overview
Midwest Heritage Construction LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Estimator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in delivering accurate cost estimates, budget forecasts, and takeoffs that ensure our residential and commercial projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with construction documents and Excel. Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope.
- Create accurate takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Develop budget forecasts and monitor cost control throughout project life cycles.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine and finalize estimates.
- Identify value engineering (VE) options and assess project risks.
- Utilize estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, etc.) for calculations and reporting.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project documents.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction estimating.Associate\'s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.Strong understanding of construction processes and project details.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, and estimating software.Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Adaptability to new tools and methods in a fast-changing technological environment.Benefits
