Description :
Performs patient care duties delegated by the Provider or clinical staff, maintains close communication and collaboration with clinical team, patient charts management, initial and on-treatment assessments, , medical record management, assists with inpatient and skilled nursing facility patients, as well as data collection, data entry, analysis.
Responsibilities :
Rooms patients; take and documents vitals
Assists with reviewing and updating medications
Completes and documents screening assessments
Ensures all patient charts are reviewed and complete prior to visit
Provides education to new patients
Perform IV therapy as needed
Monitors on-treatment patient status
Participates in weekly chart rounds and facilitates data collection
Maintains clinical area compliant with TJC requirements
Conducts hand hygiene observations and documents accordingly
What you will need : Required :
Medical Assistant diploma from a medical assistant education program and / or high school diploma
National certification from an accredited organization (such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA)
Current C.P.R. certification issued through American Heart Association
Medical or patient care experience in a health center or hospital setting as demonstrated through clinical hours or prior work experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Computer literacy in Microsoft products and email. Experience with EHR software and EPIC a plus.
Preferred :
Pay Range : $19.56 - $24.39
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
