Our client, a well-established company located in Clark, NJ, is currently seeking a detailed and organized Credit Associate to join their team.
In this role, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to the credit and collections department. The ideal candidate has strong Accounts Receivable experience, is competent in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), possesses basic accounting knowledge, and demonstrates excellent phone etiquette.
Documentation Management: Pull Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and send invoices or statement copies to sales teams and customers.
Billing & Credits: Manage portal billings and enter adjustment credits as requested.
Credit Analysis: Process credit applications and prepare credit files for review/approval, including retrieving D&B reports and checking references.
Payment Processing: Process credit card payments accurately.
General Admin: Perform other related administrative duties as required to support the department.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience in Accounts Receivable is required.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
Soft Skills: Excellent time management, organizational skills, positive attitude, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Preferred: Knowledge of the Construction, Distribution, or Building Materials industries is a plus.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $19.23 - $24.04 Per Hour
