Schedule & Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Coverage Dates:

  • Feb 9-13

  • Feb 16-20

  • Feb 23-27

  • Mar 9-13

• On Call: None

• Weekends: None

• Compensation: Inquire for details

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic consults and daily rounding

• Conduct histories & physicals (H&P)

• Assist orthopedic surgeons as needed (first assist preferred, not guaranteed)

• Provide general support to the orthopedic surgeon on call

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

Practice Environment

• Setting: Inpatient, Level I Trauma Center

• EMR: Epic

• Support Staff: None

• Reason for Coverage: PA absences requiring continued surgeon support

• Bed Count: Approximately 300 beds

• Teaching/Resident Supervision: Not required

Candidate Requirements

• NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant - Required

• Active Colorado PA license - Required

• Active DEA (transferable or new DEA must be disclosed and maintained for assignment duration) - Required

• Active BLS (must be obtained prior to start if not active)

• Clean malpractice and background history - Required

• First assist experience preferred (please note if applicable)

• Must not be a local candidate; travel city must be disclosed

• Must confirm availability for listed dates and number of shifts per month

• Must acknowledge and complete all required EMR training steps

EMR Training Requirements (Mandatory)

• Complete credentialing pre-application and full application

• Finish Epic learning modules prior to virtual training

• Attend Epic virtual training (must be completed at least 1 week before start)

• Provide Epic experience details, including:

  • Years of Epic experience

  • Last Epic usage date (MM/YYYY)

  • Last facility where Epic was used

• Provide badge photo, best phone number, personal email, and time zone

Travel & Lodging Requirements

• Candidates must stay at approved preferred lodging when available

• Must follow health system travel policies when preferred lodging is unavailable

• Air travel permitted; local candidates not accepted

• Any travel exceptions must be disclosed at submission

Credentialing Information

• Timeline: 60-90 days (standard)

• Emergency temporary privileges: Not available

• Credentialing with other facilities: Not required
