Job Opening : Property Manager – Affordable Housing

Location : San Diego, CA

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM

Type : Temp-to-Hire (based on match and business need)

Pay : $26–$32 / hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee operations at an affordable housing community operating under the HUD Tax Credit Program. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in compliance, leasing, and resident relations, and who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with HUD regulations and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements

Manage day-to-day property operations, including maintenance coordination and vendor management

Respond to resident inquiries, resolve issues, and foster a positive community environment

Oversee leasing activities, including marketing, application processing, and move-ins / move-outs

Maintain accurate and timely reporting for compliance audits and internal tracking

Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure program integrity and operational excellence

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in property management, specifically within affordable housing

Proven expertise in HUD compliance and Tax Credit Program operations

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
