LCSW / LMHC - PRN

The background investigation process may take up to 6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the applicant's background and position for which they've applied.

Under the general supervision of the Psychiatrist and the Health Services Administrator, position is responsible for providing mental health counseling and assistance to incarcerated inmates. Work is reviewed through observation and results obtained. Duties based on assignment.

The position is based on an "as needed" schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in in social work from a school accredited by the Counsel of Social Work Education (CSWE) or master's degree in mental health counseling or related field
• Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) or Mental Health Counselor License (LMHC)
• Maintain appropriate, unrestricted credentials according to the licensure, certification, and registration requirements of the jurisdiction
• CPR-Basic Life Support or ACLS Certification
• 1 year experience in a correctional setting or comparable mental health environment
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license
• Consideration for this position requires a credit check
