Hospital Police Officer

Summary

While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital and offsite locations of St. Clair Hospital, this position has the primary responsibility forpatrolling the Hospital complex, remaining alert for fire and/or safety hazards, and providing a safe and secure Hospital environment for patients, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Completion of one of the following:
   • Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification OR Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification; and a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice.
   • Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification and six months of prior security or law enforcement experience.
   • Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification and one year of prior security or law enforcement experience.
3. Current, valid driver's license and motor vehicle insurance.
4. Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience working in a security or law enforcement position in a healthcare setting.
