Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Area Engineer - Track and Systems to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for our railway track and systems infrastructure.
Develop and implement quality control procedures for track and systems maintenance and construction projectsConduct regular inspections of railway tracks, signals, and related systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulationsAnalyze data from inspections and tests to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve quality-related problems and improve processesPrepare detailed reports on quality control activities, findings, and recommendationsParticipate in project planning meetings to provide input on quality control requirements and best practicesStay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in railway track and systems engineeringTrain and mentor junior engineers and technicians on quality control procedures and techniquesCoordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulationsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in quality control engineering, preferably in the rail or transportation industryExtensive knowledge of railway track and systems engineering principlesProficiency in quality control methodologies and standards specific to the transportation industryStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insightsExperience with track and systems inspection and maintenance proceduresExcellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesProficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reportingFamiliarity with safety protocols and procedures in the railway industryStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel within the North East region as required for project inspections and site visitsAdditional Information
Salary : Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between $115k - $165k
