We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Carbon Management Policy Advisor with our Climate Policy group based in Washington, DC .
The Carbon Management Policy Advisor will support policy and external engagement efforts related to carbon management, primarily focused at the , working in collaboration with our Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, 1PointFive, and Carbon Engineering business units, and Government Relations, Regulatory, Legal, and Public Affairs groups. The position will support Oxy’s carbon management businesses, including 1PointFive’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) and geologic sequestration hub development.

• Support policy development and external advocacy for carbon management at
• Engage internal business units and subject matter experts to gather and synthesize information relevant to policy position development and strategy.
• Monitor and analyze proposed policies, regulations, and legislation, assess potential impacts, and synthesize and communicate policy analysis to internal stakeholders.
• Build and expand relationships with external stakeholders including NGOs, industry, labor, legislative and executive government.
• Represent Oxy in trade association and stakeholder groups, and at external meetings and conferences.
