Job Description :
The Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) at Binghamton University are funded by the New
York State Education Department to increase the number of students from underrepresented groups who pursue professional licensure and careers in mathematics,
science, technology, and health-related fields. The CSTEP and STEP grants focus on preparing students for postsecondary educational opportunities and careers in licensed professions. Eligible participants are New York state residents from African-American, Hispanic / Latino, Native American, or Alaskan native backgrounds and / or economically disadvantaged.
The Project Coordinator serves as an administrator, student advisor, and instructor, reporting to the Project Directors. The position is split 50% CSTEP and 50% STEP. The
approximate time allocation is 45% administration, 35% mentoring and advising, and 20% instruction and teaching. This is a full-time, calendar-year position.
