Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation assignment with floating requirements and Epic charting experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital's inpatient rehab unit
  • Day shifts from 7 : 00 to 15 : 00, 5 days per week
  • Expected to treat up to 6 patients during an 8-hour day
  • Requires weekend coverage with one regular shift per week
  • Floating between units and to affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Epic EMR is used and proficiency is required
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • Responsibilities include providing inpatient rehabilitation therapy to a diverse patient population
  • Completion of pre-start and annual training modules is required
  • Expected to float between the contracted facility and nearby affiliate sites
  • Must commit to working at least 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility for consideration
  • Up to 6 days of requested time off or 3 consecutive days can be automatically approved; additional requests may delay hiring

  • Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant inpatient rehabilitation experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years must be provided
  • Must have a vehicle for transportation to float locations
