Fulfillment & Shipping Operations Lead

Position Title :  Fulfillment & Shipping Operations LeadDepartment :  Post-Production Operations, ShippingPosition Summary :  We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee and execute our daily shipping operations. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive individual who enjoys both strategic planning and practical execution as we continue to grow. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of inventory to customers, optimizing warehouse processes, and maintaining accurate inventory.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesShipping OperationsPrepare and process shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, labels, customs forms).Package and label shipments accurately and securely.Select appropriate shipping carriers.Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and documentation requirements.Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase shipping efficiency.Warehouse ManagementOversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits and parts requests.Optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies for maximum efficiency.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs when necessary.Logistics and PlanningDevelop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain.Forecast shipping needs and plan accordingly.Analyze shipping and warehouse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, purchasing) to ensure smooth operations.Kit hardware and bracket kits to complete orders.Manage relationships with shipping carriers and other vendors as needed.QualificationsProven experience in shipping and warehouse management, with a strong understanding of logistics principles.Ability to proactively identify and solve problems, implementing effective solutions to improve operational efficiency.Hands-on experience with shipping software and tools.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Forklift certification is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and move heavy objects, in excess of 75 lbs on a regular basis.Ability to quickly move your hand, you hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.Ability to stand in one place for long periods of time.Using hands and arms in handling, positioning and moving materials and manipulating things.Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as standing, sitting, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.Repetitive motion of hands, wrists, fingers, and arms.Requires close vision to small print on computer and / or paperwork at times.Requires the ability to load, unload, push, pull and lift equipment and product components.Environmental ConditionsManufacturing environment.Exposure to contaminants and excessive noise on a daily basis.Use of safety glasses, steel toe shoes, ear protection and other PPE is often required.Reports to :  Sales & Wholesale LeadJob Type :  Full-Time, Schedule 8 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PMPay Type :  Hourly (40 hours per week)Classification :  Non-ExemptPay Range :  $19.00-21.50 per hourNote :  This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
