Position Summary

The Associate Director of Finance (Property Accounting) will oversee the financial management, accounting operations, and reporting for a large portfolio of condominiums and cooperatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial statements, budgets, and audits while supporting the Director of Finance in driving process improvements, implementing best practices, and mentoring accounting staff. The Associate Director serves as a key liaison between property managers, boards, auditors, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for condo and co-op properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company standards.
• Review and approve general ledger reconciliations, cash flow statements, and financial analyses.
• Partner with property managers and boards to present financial results and provide insights into variances, reserves, and long-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
