RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports and collaborates with the Project Manager on all aspects of project
• Is responsible for job set-up, communication, safety compliance, record-keeping, QC, project closeout and environmental and stormwater programs
• Manages project demobilization and closeout
• Assist in GH Phipps’ risk management program
• Assists in final approval of subcontract agreements
• Is responsible for project schedule updates and management
• Is responsible for developing CPM schedule
• Reviews project equipment selection through GH Phipps’ Equipment Yard
• Competent in construction processes and knowledge of building codes
• Effectively leads and enforces project specific requirements
• Is responsible for material delivery schedules
• Supports the development of team member competencies and skill sets
• Maintains regular communication with team members and actively engages with General Superintendent in team support and problem-solving
• Is responsible for the completion of daily logs
• Is responsible for completion of the job start-up checklist
• Enforces the details of the trade partner agreements and Attachments A, B and C
• Is responsible for weekly planners and short interval schedules
• Leads in preconstruction meetings with trade partners
• Leads weekly trade partners Foreman meetings
• Is responsible for site, building and interior layout control
• Is responsible for adherence to shop drawings and project documents
• Is responsible for managing third party testing and resolution of non-conformance
• Is responsible for Architect / Consultant ’s observation reports and resolution of non-conformance
• Verifies that JHAs are utilized on the jobsite
• Verifies material delivery / procurement
• Responsible for GH Phipps’ SDS program
• Is responsible for as-built / record drawings and specifications
• Provides constructability reviews for each set of progress drawings
• Reviews and understands soils reports
• Attends pre-award meetings with all major scopes of work
• Develops the site logistics plan
• Understands details of owner contracts
• Manages permits and inspections for AHJs

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field OR completion of apprenticeship program

EXPERIENCE

Minimum seven + years of commercial construction experience required

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $102,000 – 140,000 annually and is dependent in experience and title / rank of position offered.
