Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

At least one year of Spanish Medical Interpretation experience necessary.

Demonstrates proficiency in medical terminology in a health care setting. Interpreting in Health and Community Settings (minimum 40 hour training) required.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Bilingual grammatical oral and written fluency in English and Spanish.

Demonstrates the ability to provide consecutive interpretation, sight translation of consent forms and other medical documents.

Able to translate documents from English into Spanish.

Fluent native Spanish speaker and cultural background preferred.

Knowledgeable about community resources and service agencies.
